Committee Purpose: To provide an African American presence at multi-cultural and multi-racial events in Billings and surrounding counties.

The African American group was asked to act as greeters at this years festival.  In order to distinguish our volunteers we purchased Dashikis for them to wear while performing their duties.  Just as with the many peoples from Africa our group is comprised of all skin tones and hues of the rainbow. The Dashikis were a great touch and made all the greeters stand out.   To the left is one of the many pieces on loan from Bill and Susan Allen and their daughter Katy,  who lived in Africa for 7 years.  Their treasures made this years educational exhibit very special.  Go to the story page  for more photos of the 2003 festival at Rocky Mountain College
